[THE WEB OF GOOD & BAD NEWS: Reportedly, the Sydney hostage taker, Haron Monis was an Iranian-Australian who was opposed to the Iranian revolution and claimed to be formerly a Shia Muslim who converted to Sunni Islam before turning into an ISIS supporter. This revelation contains several pieces of information that could be good news or bad news depending on where you stand. The fact that he was Iranian, makes Iran looks bad. Good news for Iran-haters. But wait a minute. He was anti-revolution. Good news for the Iranians. He WAS a Shia. Good news for Shia Muslims. He converted to Sunni Islam. Good news for Sunni Muslims. He became an ISIS supporter. Bad news for both Sunni and Shia Muslims, but good news for both Sunni and Shia cults - good for extremist Shia cults as they can now say: This is the proof. Shia are peaceful and it is the others who always are the terrorists; and good news for extremist Sunni cults as they would say: This is the proof Shia are infidels and one has to be a Sunni to wage jihad on the infidels . Oh god, this is a web of good and bad news. For me, it (the whole incident) is just a bad news with fears of worse to come (hint: the cults)]
