::THIS MAY STING. A LITTLE:: Ive seen various posts about the racial injustices going on, mainly from the black community. So Ill address us. But this may sting. A little. I see a call to get together; a call that has echoed through time with little to no response, because people fight for supremacy before it can get off the ground, or lose interest. But thats not my main gripe. My main gripe is all these people who have so much to say about these atrocities happening to black people at the hands of white people or white law enforcement, when the biggest crimes against black people are perpetuated BY BLACK PEOPLE! Uh oh...why dont we start with the glorification of violence through gangsta rap? How many (including myself back in the day) thought N.W.A had it goin on? Their lyrics made us cringe, and we couldnt blast it in our cars without feeling some type of way, unless we simply shrugged it off and looked straight ahead with a I dare you to say something to me scowl across our mug..what of all those images of us shooting each other to syncopated beats that we praised because it was creative? Anybody remember Naughty By Nature, the original degraders of black women in rap videos? Yeah, Im going to the comments. Delete me now, cause its only going to get worse..he that has an ear..my name is GjAnderson, and my mind is as narrow as the road I travel on.
