-Tammy Update- I took a half day and arrived at LGH at noon, excited to take Tam to Audubon Villa in Lititz. Yesterday I was told this was the next step. She would stay there until strong enough to come home. I find out at 4:00 that my insurance has denied this rehab and feels she should go home. The past five days have been difficult. Most likely because of meds. She can not get up from bed and needs a nurse and walker to make the short walk to her bathroom. She sleeps most of the day and dozes off while talking. Fuzzy vision so she cant read. Struggles remembering her last sentence. She has no pain and the tumor has only grown slightly. This makes me think its the meds. Nurses and doctors say it could be several possibilities. Frustrating. Im glad she is finally comfortable but its difficult seeing her this way.
