† The Cruise Ship † Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:23–24 ESV I heard a story about a man that was given a ticket on a luxury cruise liner. He really had no money so he mostly stayed in his room and made sandwiches to eat. He admired all the beautiful banquets and decor but did not even go to them because he thought they were way too expensive. When the cruise was over and he was leaving the ship he met the captain who asked why he never once came down to dinner. The man told him that he could not afford it but did enjoy the cruise. Then the captain told him that it was all included in the ticket that he had. We sometimes go through life with our head down, sick, and barely getting by when Jesus has already paid for our ticket. We have to claim what He has provided for us! If you are sick, pray to be healed, have the elders anoint and pray for you. If you are broke, pray for finances, speak to your pastor (if you don’t have a pastor you should get one! ) If you are lost in life, pray for the Holy Spirit to come guide you. Give God no rest until it is resolved or He answers you. Then if it does not happen it will not be because you have not asked Him seven times. Do not ignore what Jesus already paid for. Jesus loves you so much that He traded His life for yours! :)
