✞ The Gospel of Christ - [Gods Instructions For Salvation] The Gospel of Christ is news, good news: the best and most important news that any human being could ever hear. It contains *Gods instructions* on how to receive eternal salvation, saved from Gods wrath because of our sinful lives, and his instruction for receiving the gift of eternal life with Him in heaven. In a recent CNN poll, it was discovered that *81% of the people asked believed in heaven where people lived with God after death. *61% of those polled said that they believed they would go to Heaven immediately when they died. I find these numbers astonishing in light of the wickedness that fills our society and the false, untrue, wrong, incorrect and fallacious ways they believe one would receive salvation. Lets look at some of their INCORRECT ways they believe they would receive salvation, go to heaven. Of all those polled, 6% believed Heaven could be reached by doing good works. Another 57% believed that Heaven was available to all who place their faith in God and did good works and 34% believed that Heaven was for those who had faith in God alone. Now, here is where a problem begins to be really seen. A full 63% of those who responded believed they were going to Heaven, but they cited the *wrong way* for getting there. The other 34%, who believed that Heaven came to those who placed their faith in God, are *just as wrong* as those who believe salvation comes as a result of works. Let me reason with you for a moment, if you dont mind. If a person decided they wanted to become a Christian and receive Gods gift of eternal life and spend eternity with Jesus in heaven, wouldnt it be a good idea to find out EXACTLY how to be saved first? Before anything else...one needs to be saved from Gods wrath for lost sinners, and receive His gift of eternal life. This is the starting point in our Christian life. Believe me, many skip over it! Now this is really the amazing fact, there is only one (1) way, in the entire N.T. Bible that gives a person, living today, the instructions for how to receive salvation. That one place is the *The Gospel of Christ found throughout St. Pauls epistles to us. This is so very important that a prudent person would want to open the bible and *find that for themselves!* I dont know about you, but I am not willing to step our into eternity when I die believing I am on my way to heaven to be with Jesus, based on another mans understanding of salvation. The CNN poll showed the majority of people have it WRONG! That includes many ministers and church members too. They were part of the survey poll also. Why they have it incorrect is another long story, but what is important now, for you, is that YOU get it right. Right? So allow St. Paul to tell us directly from the Bible how to be saved from the ‘gospel of Christ’. “For I am not ashamed of *the gospel of Christ*: for it is the power of God *unto SALVATION* to every one that *BELIEVETH*;...” -- Ro. 1:16 (emphasis added for clarify) THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST: 1 Cor. 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you *the gospel* which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also *ye are saved*, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have *believed* in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that *Christ died for our sins* according to the scriptures; And that *he was buried*, and that *he rose again* the third day according to the scriptures: Our eternal destination is determined in our earthly lifetime by our reception or rejection of the Gospel of Christ. Will you, right now, place your faith(trust) that Jesus died to pay for your sins and rose from the grave to save you? This is what the Bible instructs us to do to receive eternal life with Jesus in heaven. Please trust in Jesus now!
