“The Justices and injustices” Wonders never cease to happen in Uganda but what is happening in the legal profession and or Judiciary today, leaves a lot to be desired. If by all standards a very simple legal matter that can easily be dispensed in a few minutes by any competent court or judge takes four months to be decided on or to rule on it; then we are in trouble, It wouldn’t be of much surprise if this was a grade II magistrate court, but this happening in the supreme court!!. This court on Thursday ruled that, it does not have the jurisdiction to entertain an appeal arising from orders made by a single judge of court of appeal, four months later, then what quality of “Justices” of the Supreme Court do we have??. I begin to imagine that if these “Justices” were medical doctors, then all of us would be dead, including those justices themselves because of their methods of work. Much as am very much aware of the Political and state influence involved in this matter of Lord Mayor, its common knowledge that these judges or “justices” be reminded that justice delayed is justice denied.
