“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field. “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it! - Matthew 13:44-46 NLT Christ tells us that the Kingdom of Heaven is something that is so precious that people who truly understand what they have been given are willing to give anything to keep it. Which begs the question, Do we understand what we have been given? If so, what are we willing to forsake in order to hold on to what we have been given? How precious is the Kingdom to us? My prayer this morning is that we dwell on these questions in light of Christs words. It is sometimes hard to value something we cannot see, cannot feel, or cannot experience. But even when we cannot see we can believe what Jesus has told us. Thats why its called Faith.
