Cast members of Awakened Julianne Michelle, (clad in a ravishing gown by Andres Aquino and pearls by Luperla), and Erin Gerasimovich, Dascha Polanco of the Netflix hit show Orange is the New Black, Tom Murro of Fox Morning Extra, Miss NYC Kira Kazantsev, MTV’s celebrity chef Chris Nirschel, Tony Lo Bianco, Tina Louise, NY Times best selling author and Fox News and MSNBC TV correspondent Rita Cosby, jazz singer Cole Rumbough, NY Daily News Dreams Columnist Lauren Lawrence, and others joined director, producer, and writer Joycelyn Engle and executive producers Brian Mehling and Joseph Di Palma to celebrate the NYC release, followed by receptions at Beau Marchais and No. 8. Awakened, directed by Joycelyn Engle and Arno Malarone and produced by Joycelyn Engle and Julianne Michelle, stars award winners Edward Furlong, Julianne Michelle, Steven Bauer (“Ray Donovan”), John Savage, Stelio Savante, Sally Kirkland (Oscar Nominee), Bryan Dechart, and Erin Gerasimovich (Prisoners). Awakened is a psychological and supernatural drama about a 22 year old woman, Samantha Winston (Julianne Michelle), who returns to her home town after 14 years in search of answers to her mother’s untimely death. She is convinced that her father, Jack Winston (John Savage), murdered her mother. In a quest for vengeance, Samantha uncovers an evil and devastating truth with guidance from beyond the grave. Awakened premieres at the Laemmle Music Hall theatre in Beverly Hills March 30 and at the Brenden Theatre at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas April 7.
