“The Top Highlight of Hanoi - Insist on it” There are numerous articles about how wonderful street food is in Viet-Nam, but there are just as many articles about unsanitary conditions leading to travelers diarrhea. Then a friend mentioned this outfit which not only guarantees good hygiene but is also well rated on Trip Advisor. 9 out of 12 of us took the plunge and, to the dismay of the 3 scaredy cats who stayed in, it turned out to be the top eating experience from our entire 3-week trip in Viet-Nam. Hien, who also goes by Cherry, quickly won us over with her spunk, passion and attentiveness. And the food, at every single stop, is fabulous. We were introduced to a large spectrum of Hanoi delicacies. We ate from sidewalk stoops. We ate from tiny mom-and-pop shops. We ate standing in the street from a box in the back of a bicycle. We drank egg coffee from a lounge tucked away at the end of a dark alley. And, as Hien had promised, we did not go home hungry. We were so stuffed, we skipped the last stop. Next time, Ill make sure not to eat so much at lunch. Hien, thank you for an unforgettable evening. The food was absolutely delicious, and your passion made it exceptional. In your honor, we still yell out sticky rice! whenever we cross the streets. Note: If you want to book this, make sure you talk to them directly, and insist on it. When I mentioned it to our tour company, they tried to sign us up on their own tour. When I asked our hotel to make the arrangements, they tried to get us on their partners tour.
