“The accursed (Iblīs) thought that Allah would forsake His close friend and beloved (Ādam) who He created with His own hand, breathed into him the soul, made the angels prostrate to and taught the names of all things - due to a thing he ate; while failing to realize that the doctor had taught the patient the medicine before the sickness, such that when he felt sick he hastened to use the medicine. So when the enemy attacked him with the arrow, it struck him, but not fatally. So he hastened to cure the injury, and then stood up as if he never fell.” — Ibn al-Qayyim --------------------------------------------------------------- The patient: Adam & his offspring The sickness: sin/disobedience The medicine/cure: repentance and seeking forgiveness The arrow: traps of Shayṭān This statement is a proof that Satan does not know the #future. Allaah restricted him from having this ability. He can only think & whisper it to you. How you live your life from his evil whispering forward is entirely up to you. Take the time to search deep within yourself and begin the process.
