: The audio isnt that great, when you have to set the volume to maximum and when even the audience applause after the overture sounds crappy. Still, Im enjoying watching this production of Rimsky-Korsakovs first opera, The Maid of Pskov, because Ive never seen it -- only listened to it and seen brief excerpts of staging. Wikipedia about the opera: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Maid_of_Pskov Rimsky-Korsakov was composing this opera at the same time when Musorgsky was composing Boris Godunov. R-K revised the opera twice after the first production. This performance presumably represents the standard (3rd) edition.
