The best laid plans...The family was going to meet me in HNL on my trip for Christmas, then come to Guam for a few days, but our oldest has the flu. Yes, she got the vaccine, but if you havent heard, its only 40% effective this year. Its a mild strain, which strikes me as being sorta pregnant. Im just glad it happened now, and not enroute, and I hope she feels better soon. Wandering the beaches of Hawaii on Christmas morning will have to be my consolation prize, but Im definitely going to miss them...it will be the first time weve been apart for the holiday.
