Today, hundreds of millions of young people are actively engaged in distributed and collaborative social networks on the Internet, willingly giving their own time and expertise, mostly for free, to advance the good of others. Why do they do it? .... For the sheer joy of sharing their lives with other in the belief that contributing to the well-being of the whole does not in any way diminish whats theirs but rather, increases their own well-being manifold. >
