“The most valuable tool I’ve ever had in life is a critic. Because if my beliefs and dreams are never criticized – if I’m not living a life that evokes someone to challenge me – I will always be under the impression that what I’m doing is right and may not give a lot of thought to new ideas, approaches, or concepts intended to improve me. I’ve learned that when the critic speaks, it awakens something inside of me. It reminds me that I am human and make mistakes. A critic makes me think harder. A critic makes me either defend my beliefs or change my beliefs. Essentially, I’ve learned it’s the critic’s job to direct me down the path I should be going. Therefore, I don’t fear criticism. I embrace it. I use it. I grow from it. I see it as a tool to advance my purpose. And I welcome it.” – Chadrick Black
