The mother of all excuses to rid ones political opponents. No matter how much I try to explain, those without an educational background in international politics are unable to grasp the concept of a power grab through the use of what is essentially groundless and unproven accusations having to do with corruption. China and Thailand are only a few on a long list of nations out there where similar corruption-laden power grabs are prevalent. It is a plague among developing nations where democracy has not taken root and in whose countries democratic institutions are not yet established. Ive stopped explaining this concept to those who are incredulous to the more democratic line of thinking; simply find it a waste of my breath.
