“The toughest thing about success is that you’ve got to keep being a success. Talent is only a starting point in business. You’ve got to keep working that talent.” ~Irving Berlin This is the #1 trait I notice in new clients who come to me. This idea that once they achieve “success” (whatever that is to them) that they will then not have to work so hard. The opposite is actually True. It is then that your talent and your hard work will really be put to the test. If it is just financial security you crave, that can be achieved at any level. If it is recognition you desire, learn to give that to yourself. If it is for the joy of doing your profession then keep working at, being confident that you will have plenty of opportunities to practice your trade as you rise through the ranks. I believe that this is why loving what you do is so essential, because as you get more success – you are going to do more of it and be challenged by it more than you can ever imagine.
