(The world asks...) If You are the Christ, tell us.” But He (Jesus) said to them, “If I tell you, you will by no means believe. And if I also ask you, you will by no means answer Me or let Me go. Hereafter the Son of Man will sit on the right hand of the power of God.” Then they all said, “Are You then the Son of God?” So He said to them, “YOU RIGHTLY SAY THAT I AM. (Luke 22:67-70 NKJV) Daryl - many will say to you, if we saw today the same miracles that JESUS did then, we would believe. Or maybe, if the church acted more like JESUS, then we would believe. I call false. No man on earth was ever saved (redeemed) because of miracles. Also, no man on earth has been saved (redeemed) by seeing someone act like JESUS. The is only one way to be saved. One must BELIEVE (faith) in the Lord Jesus Christ and they will be saved. (Romans 10) Miracles and wonders and kindness POINT to JESUS...so does the cross....so do the words JESUS Christ every time they are uttered in cursing...so does the sun every morning and the harvests and the mountains and the miracle of life itself! What about Christmas...as commercial and inaccurate (date wise) as it has become it still points to the CHRIST every year! JESUS did all the miracles, showed great kindness to the UNRIGHTEOUS and showed mercy and grace everywhere he went. But, mostly those who witnessed JESUS CHRIST IN THE FLESH were not convinced. They were there yelling for his execution at the end. I just want to point out the bait and switch game the world always plays with believers and the church. We (believers) are so very eager to tell about JESUS and hopeful that others will come to love Him and the Father as we do, that we quickly jump through hoops and run around in circles to please the critics of the world. That is because we care...but believe me on this one thing...you and I are not now, nor will we ever be more compassionate and caring for the lost than JESUS Christ and the Father in Heaven. Let CHRISTJesus be Himself in you. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide and lead you. Try to understand it is the Holy Spirit that brings people to the Father. Sometimes you even get to lead them there. the world will demand to see your CHRIST and then ignore Him when you do show them! They arent interested. They dont care. The Bait is the world saying, if you act better, or believe like we do, or accept what we do...then we would flood into your churches. On FB, on TV, in movies, everywhere they preach that kindness and good deeds are the mark. That is their religion. Religion they dont live up to either but believe that they can. Their worship is always to THROW MORE MONEY AND RESOURCES AT IT. The Switch is when the world gets believers to accept their ideas and their way of thinking and their projects, then the world shuts the trap and you realize they believe that all religions lead to the same place, that all we need is love, and cant we all just get along? Very noble of them as they call you racists and haters for just being a Christian or a Jew. When you preach CHRIST Jesus and His love and kindness, it is the Holy Spirit that begins to convict and open peoples eyes to see JESUS. It is the Father God drawing men to Himself. Better worship, shorter services, more charity, revival, community relations, etc wont save men. These things are always welcome and good but they dont save men....only JESUS does. -For THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS (the Gospel) IS FOOLISHNESS to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved IT IS THE POWER OF GOD. For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, IT PLEASED GOD THROUGH THE FOOLISHNESS OF THE MESSAGE PREACHED TO SAVE THISE WHO BELIEVE. For Jews (religious people..Mystics) request a sign, and Greeks (Worldly people...education) seek after wisdom; BUT WE PREACH CHRIST CRUCIFIED, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, CHRIST IS THE POWER OF GOD AND THE WISDOM OF GOD. Because THE FOOLISHNESS OF GOD IS WISER THAN MEN, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. (I Corinthians 1:18-25 NKJV) Daryl - Preach Christ....Preach His great love and kindness and mercy and forgiveness and grace! Preach the Gospel and watch the power of God and the miracles of God and the kingdom begin to explode in and on the people around you! CHRIST IS THE POWER OF GOD.
