“They worship a false god who delivers them from their sins but cannot also deliver them from their enemies. They preach a feckless faith that proclaims a personal redemption that does not also extend to all the world. They serve a strange gospel that rightly denies the necessity of human works in the atonement but somehow believes that mortal violence is necessary to assist God’s saving arm. They want a Jesus who will grant them access to heaven, but they will kill to preserve their existence here on earth.
