“This casts aspersion on the integrity of the judge and it may - TopicsExpress

“This casts aspersion on the integrity of the judge and it may assure those willing to try something like this that crime pays,” Mr. Suraj who attended the court hearing said. IS THIS MR SURAJ NOT SIMPLY AN IMBECILE? First of all this headline is what I call yellow bellied journalism because the headline does not tally with the report and what do you want the judge to do? To give him a sentence above what the law provides for? Now read this portion of the report and tell if those crying foul against the judge and not complete imbeciles: Mr. Yusuf’s sentencing came after he pleaded guilty to betraying trust and fraudulently converting N2 billion of police pension funds to private use. The trial continues for the other accused. Mr. Yusuf admitted to the 19th and 20th offences relating specifically to him, each involving betrayal of trust and the conversion of N1 billion apiece. The maximum penalty for the offence is two years. Mr. Yusuf is to forfeit property traced to him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, valued at N325 million. Should the judge sentence him to death or life imprisonment without legal backing? Even the idiot journalist making the reports gives a heading that the accused was set free on a fine. Yet in the body he reports that the accused (and convict) is to forfeit property traced to him by EFCC (worth =N=325 million). Mind you if more properties belonging to him are traced a further order can be granted or even confiscated under this current judgement depending on how the judgement is worded. Of course they know majority of Nigerians are IDIOTS, who will never read the full story and even if they do will not comprehend and even if they do not comprehend they would not seek to be educated!!! By the way what is happening to members of the National Assembly who were also implicated by Mr Dangabar? Were they even charged at all? I AM BETTING YOU THEY BELONG TO THE VARIOUS POLITICAL PARTIES... premiumtimesng/news/117599-director-jailed-2yrs-for-stealing-n33bn-pension-fund-freed-on-n250000-fine.html
