(This event is opened to every SKKU international students) Im making an announcement to let you guys know about HI-Day tour which will be held on September 27, 2014 (Saturday) from 9:30 ~ 19:00. Every semester, We, HI-Club select one place near Seoul and go trip all together. This time, SKKU Office of International Affairs and HI-Club co-organized a day trip to Korean Folk Village (koreanfolk.co.kr/multi/english/) and after that we’re gonna have an outdoor BBQ party in Suwon Campus. For those studying in Seoul campus, this will be another chance to look around Suwon campus as well. We really want all of you to join this tour and have a wonderful day, experiencing our living history of Korea and culture. Following is a brief schedule. You guys can freely look around the National Folk Village from 10:30 to 16:00. Many events and Korean traditional performances such as “Farmer’s Music and Dance”, “Acrobatics on a Tightrope walking”, “Equestrian Feats”, and “Traditional Wedding Ceremony” will be held, so you can watch those performances and enjoy. Lunch is not provided by HI-Club but there are many restaurants inside the village. You can try various kinds of Korean food there and help yourself freely. Then, we will move to SKKU Suwon campus and have a Barbecue party until 7 pm. ★ ★ ★ For those who want to experience some activities in person, there are two kinds offered. One thing is making one’s own Korean traditional pottery and another thing is making Korean paper doll. But it requires additional charge. 9,000\ for making the pottery and 5,000\ for making the paper doll. ★ ★ ★ 1) Fill out application form at the Office of International Affairs (Suwon/Seoul) 2) Pay the participation fee in cash on spot 3) Take a receipt September 19, 22, 24 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m 20,000 KRW (only in cash) (cf. lunch is not provided!!) If you choose to do an activity listed above, there is an additional charge as stated. * No late application will be accepted. * The event is subject to cancellation due to weather condition. * Program details are also subject to change due to better arrangement and organization. * You cannot enjoy only the BBQ party on Suwon Campus. Its for students who enjoy this whole program. * For those who are vegetarians, food like french-fries will be provided during Barbecue party. Thanks!! Meet you there in Korean Folk Village then :)
