This is such a sad state of affairs when so much money is spent on sports and other nonessential areas of education. I debated with myself whether to donate or consider this a scam.But I have seen the poverty in Durham ,NC. I know that teachers everywhere are faced with this same problem. So I decided to take the risk that it might be a scam because if it is not,my little donation can make a difference in the lives of the children lucky enough to have a teacher who seems to care enough about them to humble himself in this way.
