This quote is from Jim Elliot. Jim was a Missionary in South America when he and his fellow missionaries were ambushed and killed by a hostile tribe of cannibals. The missionaries made the ultimate sacrifice; their very life to further the cause of Christ. The account is even more miraculous; Jim Elliots wife and other missionaries returned to the scene of the crime to evangelize the very tribe that murdered Jim and his group. As a result, the tribe was won to Christ and their lives became a miraculous witness for the world to see. Most Americans never face violent opposition for sharing the message of the gospel. However, many throughout the Middle East and China are facing torture and even death, much like Jim Elliott and his fellow Missionaries. We are called to commit to prayer for the their protection and American support. As you witness raised eyebrows and indifferrence for sharing the love of Christ give thanks for the freedom to express your faith and beliefs. Continue to pray for those facing persecution and death. May God help us share and live the message of Gods love and forgiveness each and every day! He is No Fool.....
