£ThoreauBachThursday to last fall, when I wrote this thing that I think is good: Im a simple man. I like my coffee venti, my meat kosher, and my water unflavored. I like my life-forms carbon based, my Mercury in retrograde, and my religion correct. I like my books autographed, my numbers rational, and my chakras aligned. When it gets cold outside, I put on a sweater. When it gets hot outside, I put on a little song and dance routine in the backyard and invite all the neighbors. I like the accusations against me blown way out of proportion, my accomplishments disputed, and my moral fiber polyester. I like my government monarchical, my aristocracy garish, and my peasantry dull. When Im tired, I sleep. When Im dirty, I bathe. When Im in love, I get married. I like my jokes subtle, my rainbows beautiful, and my electromagnetic wavelengths between 390-700nm. I know what I like, and Im confused by what I know. Im a simple man.
