Ive been working at The Market on the Square since August...lately some 10 hour days; the story of retail business at Christmastime. My busy schedule has afforded much needed therapy as we stumble through this first Christmas without our precious Avery. I come home every night, exhausted, and anticipate bedtime and rest. We leave for Mothers tomorrow whenever I get off work at 3:00, so I had no choice but to finally wrap gifts after finally doing some much needed cleaning. Whitney Beth, Trey, and Riley will be coming for our family Christmas on the 26th, and well come back to Cookeville that day. Working at The Market has been so good for me, and I am really grateful for this job...a Godsend for me as I grieve. I have seen so many people that I have known throughout the years. Ive talked with those who have lost loved ones, and are going through their first holiday season without them. Ive seen friends who have survived cancer, and those who have just been diagnosed. Ive been reminded that through our journey of life, we are all victims of circumstance; never knowing or understanding why. However, through it all, I realize that whatever happens, my faith in God abounds....and realize:
