Three Impersonations Those who consider themselves - TopicsExpress

Three Impersonations Those who consider themselves well educated often believe in the theory that they will somehow lead a better life than those who are not. While I am a firm believer that continued education will open many new doors for you and shed a much brighter light on otherwise dark and unexplored subjects, I also support the Jeopardy Theory as well. Come on now, you know these folks already, and it appears that every family or circle of friends has one around... The one person that can name every Beethoven work by sound, identify every Shakespeare sonnet by verse and still ramble through the names of every current member of Congress without taking a breath. Impressive as they may sound, most of them rate poorly at the three impersonations, also referred to as employment, marriage and parenting. The academic recollection of a myriad of various subjects is not what’s really at stake here - its just a simple ego in the end. Lets face it, people always take things too far, and although memory is a wonderful gift, it often gets wasted on useless knowledge. People learn of life in mysterious ways. Obvious lessons are seldom sustained. Odd statistics make up the differences For education that remains unexplained. These teaching tools and parables Mean so much more in analogies. Expose the roots of the grandest tree Simply by stripping all of the leaves. These seconds ultimately count as time. Why must we always choose to pretend. A strange combination is the bottom line As majestic fables replace actual events. Create a foundation constructed by love, Based on pictures that touched our soul. The bizarre stories that changed our life Are relived by an addition to our control. Reality becomes some place that no one In their right mind would ever want to be. Except for those who bought into the lies That has changed their life completely. Not once, not twice, but somehow, three. blurb/b/4118686-masques-martyrs-volume-one
