#ThrowbackThursday Julian (Premier Safaris Explorer in residence) and David (Great great grandchild of Sir Samuel Baker) with a relic from Sir Samuel Bakers colonial past. Its one of the rifles used by the explorer when he traveled through Africa. Significantly Sir Baker also named Murchison falls in what is today Murchison Falls national park in Uganda. Julian Monroe Fisher and David Baker visited Uganda with Us to retrace Sir Samuel Bakers route some time back. Uganda now also has a Baker trail among their tourism products to celebrate the route. Julian was the driving force behind the Baker Trail, and specializes in the history of the Explorers of Old.
