“Titles” “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the NAME of the Father, [“Christ” (John-5:43 with Luke-2:11), Jesus was given the name “Jesus” eight days later (Luke-2:21) but he came in the name Christ ] and of the Son [“Jesus Christ” (Romans-6:3)] and of the Holy Ghost [“Spirit of Christ” (Romans-8:9 and 1st Peter-1:11)]. Did you notice it said “NAME”, not names or titles. Many baptize in the titles which doesn’t fulfill the scripture?. Putting this knowledge of the name of “Christ”, “Jesus Christ”, and the “Spirit of Christ”, there is but one conclusion, that baptism is in the full name “Jesus Christ” as stated in Acts-2:38. Knowing that “Father” is not a name, but a title, and “Son” is a title, so is “Holy Ghost”, we must see that this scripture is but a formula. Acts-8:16 and 19:5 shows baptism in “the name of the Lord Jesus”, which is “Jesus Christ”, same as Acts-2:38. Acts-10:48 shows baptism in “the name of the Lord”, again this is “Jesus Christ, same as Acts-2:38. I tell you, we must “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2nd Timothy2:15).
