*****To my Facebook family and friends: I share some personal news only to bring awareness to this medical condition that I have. Yesterday, I was diagnosed with Tethered Spinal Cord Syndrome. Its something that I was actually born with and never knew it. I live in chronic pain (24/7) and have been for a very long time, way too long--years. I dont share my problems and complaints and always try to lead a positive life with a great attitude. But deep inside Im living in severe pain from my lower back, buttocks and down both my legs. Its been life changing for me. Its extremely difficult to sit, bend, and walk, etc..... ----something we just take for granted. The good thing is-------- I have an answer to what is causing me so much pain. The only way to correct my tethered cord is surgery. So on that note: I have surgery tentatively scheduled for February 27th in Milwaukee. I have an amazing Neurological Surgeon, Dr. Heffez who I trust 150%.
