In 1985 Ted Nugent made a guest appearance on the TV show Miami Vice. In 2000 Melissa Etheridge revealed that David Crosby was the biological father of her two children with Julie Cypher. In 2002 Creeds Weathered marked its seventh week at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart. In 2004 Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, and Chaka Khan were among the performers at the An Evening of Stars 25th Anniversary Celebration - A tribute to Lou Rawls. The salute to the veteran R&B performer also served as Rawls annual fundraiser for the United Negro College Fund. In 2005 Mick Jagger and Dave Stewart won the Critics Choice Award for Best Original Song for Old Habits Die Hard, their contribution to the soundtrack to the movie Alfie. The Isley Brothers Ronald Isley was in court in Los Angeles, where he plead not guilty to charges of tax evasion. In 2006 Green Day and U2 were among the winners at the Peoples Choice Awards. In 2008 Panic! at the Disco confirmed that the group was dropping the exclamation point from their name. Lynyrd Skynyrds Simple Man Cruise 2008 set sail from Miami. The Marshall Tucker Band and the Georgia Satellites were also part in the Southern rock aquatic adventure. In 2009 AC/DC fans in Peoria, Illinois took part in a rally in an effort to persuade the band to include a stop in their city on the groups Black Ice tour. AC/DC hadnt performed in Peoria in more than 25 years. The last time the Australian rockers visited the city they incorporated cannons in their show, which irritated some residents and led to an urban legend about the group being banned from Peoria. In 2010 Gilby Clarke suffered serious injuries -- including two broken legs -- in a hit-and-run accident in Los Angeles. Clarke was on his motorcycle attempting to ride through an intersection when a pickup truck turned left in front of him. Clarke struck the side of the pickup, which just kept going. He underwent a long recovery process. Five months later he was walking with the assistance of a cane. In 2012 Van Halen released Tattoo, the first single from the bands album, A Different Kind Of Truth. The project was Van Halens first full collection of new studio material since 1998s Van Halen 3, and their first with frontman David Lee Roth since the album 1984. In 2013 Guitarist Steve Howe announced that he was leaving Asia to devote more time to Yes, his solo career, and other projects. In 2014 Jackson Browne, Trains Pat Monahan, Sam Moore, and Widespread Panic were among the performers who took part in the tribute concert All My Friends: Celebrating the Songs & Voice of Gregg Allman. Gregg took part in the show as well, which was staged at the Fox Theater in Atlanta.
