#TomorrowWorld story time: To those who know a little bit about my personal life, the past few years have been somewhat of a living nightmare, from sudden unemployment, followed by unexpectedly becoming a father, the draining of my life savings, a very painful and shocking breakup, moving in the hopes of finding a better life only to fall further into depression, eventually being admitted to a psych ward and given medication which only served to drive me further into nothingness, to finally moving back home to recover from the mental torment. As time progressed I became so used to being drained from trying to fulfill the wishes of others, & feeling guilty for not being able to be with my son, that I hardly ever took time to actually do anything relaxing that I enjoyed myself. That is, until last weekend. After some pleading, some close friends of mine convinced me to go to TomorrowWorld. Not being much of a partier or lover of festival EDM I honestly wasnt expecting too much. But Im really glad I did. For the first time in years I did something purely for fun without worrying about anything else. It was one of the best times Ive ever had and Im really glad I got to experience it, not only with people that are close to me, but a few new wonderful faces as well. Not to mention of course the really amazing performances I got to see including Sub Focus, DVBBS, John Digweed, Zedd, & GRiZ. I dont know if Ill ever play TomorrowWorld, or any festival of that magnitude, but Im certainly thankful I got to live it while Im still breathing. So in closing Id like to say, always be mindful of the feelings of others, but dont forget to take time out to show love to yourself as well. And dont be afraid to dance a little bit!
