The day recognize those who confront danger and adversity in order to provide humanitarian relief world over. The day was designated by the General Assembly to coincide with the anniversary of the 2003 bombing of the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad, Iraq. 2014 Theme: “The World Needs More…” 2- Roger Federer clinches men’s singles title of Cincinnati Masters 2014; Serena Williams grabs her maiden women’s singles trophy. A Navaneethakrishnan, Rajya Sabha MP and former Advocate-General, will be the Deputy Parliamentary Party leader and the floor leader in the Rajya Sabha. AIADMK has the third largest MPs in the Lok Sabha after the BJP and Congress. 6- Adille Sumariwala is the President of the Athletics Federation of India (AFI). India won 65 medals in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou in China with 12 medals (5 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze) coming from athletics.
