#TrafflineAlert : State-run oil marketing companies reduced the price of petrol by Rs 2.42 and diesel by Rs 2.25 a litre, but the benefit to consumers will be capped as the government announced a Rs.2 per litre increase in excise duty on both fuels. In Delhi, petrol will cost Rs 58.91 a litre now as compared to Rs 61.33 a litre. Similarly, diesel will cost Rs 48.26 a litre in Delhi as against Rs. 50.51 a litre. In Mumbai the petrol will now cost Rs. 66.36 per litre and diesel will cost Rs. 55.47 per litre. In Kolkata the petrol will now cost Rs. 66.64 per litre and diesel will cost Rs. 52.99 per litre. In Chennai the petrol will cost Rs. 61.38 per litre and diesel will cost Rs. 51.34 per litre. In Bengaluru the petrol will now cost Rs. 64.72 per litre and diesel will cost Rs. 52.49 per litre. In Hyderabad the petrol will now cost Rs. 64.37 per litre and diesel will cost Rs. 52.57 per litre. In Ahmedabad the petrol will now cost Rs. 61.67 per litre and diesel will cost Rs. 53.38 per litre. In Pune the petrol will now cost Rs. 66.58 per litre and diesel will cost Rs. 55.46 per litre.
