#TravelTips : Looking at combining Hong Kong trip with Macau? I would like to share a few tips and suggestions on Macau. 1. Enter via Macau and exit via HK as HK airport is bigger, more fun and you can continue shopping. 2. Ideally, a simple 4d3n trip in HK and 3d2n trip in Macau will be better. Too long? Wait... Read below. 3. Fourth day depart from HK in the morning or at noon to Macau. Third day morning depart home from Macau. (3 full days in HK and 1.5 days in Macau, fair? Assuming all are early morning flight). 4. Despite many said that a day trip to Macau is sufficient, I advise to stay at least one night. Casino hopping is NOT the only thing to do in Macau. 5. Time is wasted at the immigration queue in/out Macau, buffer for that in your planning. 6. It is a 1 hour ferry ride to/fro HK and Macau, check on monsoon/typhoon season as ferry will seize operation if weather turns ugly. 7. Check for monsoon/typhoon season for both countries (should be during the same period). These are a few places to see/do in Macau.
