***Trolling a Sixers Ticket Rep*** So a 76ers rep called me the day before the draft and I almost got tickets but something told me to wait until after the draft and I am happy I did. So he emailed me asking was I still interested and I told him that I was not happy with the draft and I was not paying to see the same level of talent as last season with the addition of Noel being the highlight. Of course, him being a sales rep he persisted so now I have to troll him. Here is his response and my response to his response. Larry, I completely understand where you are coming from. However, have you been watching the summer league? Nerlens Noel is the top guy and ranked #1 among EVERY player this summer. Also, with the guys surrounding him that are fighting for an invite to camp they have a very fast paced, exciting team to watch! Now is the time to get on board, the prices are at their lowest point they will be and the best seats will not be here next year since fans are jumping on board now. Give me a call if you change your mind. Also, I can help you with single game tickets instead of getting hit with service fees and premium prices on StubHub….so don’t hesitate to call me even if we cannot work anything out at this time. Have a great weekend! Patrick, I have been watching the Summer League and I have been impressed with Noel. The player I saw at UK could not score on offense unless it was a fastbreak, alley-oop or an offensive rebound putback. McDaniels is a 1st rd talent so getting him in the 2nd rd was a steal. McRae has looked good as well. Was looking forward to seeing Jackson on the team but injuries happen. Though these young guys look good, it is Summer League so they are playing against other rookies and guys trying to make rosters and not legit NBA talent so I am not getting too excited but I am happy that they played well vs the level of talent they were facing. With all that said, my answer is still the same. Hinkie has shown that he is not trying to put a winning product on the court this season and though I support what he is doing, I am not paying top dollar to see this D-League level talent team. Like last season, I can watch from my couch. Ill take my chances on a package being available next season. I was a partial season ticket holder in the early 2000s and then again 2-3 seasons before last season and I never had a problem getting a package so Im confident there will be something available for me when Im ready to come back. Thank you for offering to help me with single game tickets but Stubhub has some real good deals the day of games.
