Bankcrupt, in great physical pain and the victim of plot to subotage his career, the once great opera composer scheduled a “farewell” appearance in London in April. Thatr summer however, he composed Messiah, which not only brought him back into spotlight but still deemed by some to be “an epitome of Christian faith” I sang this song or rather piece during my choral music participation under the baton of Mr Dlamini. “O ! Unto us the child is born” I was at high school and today I still hear our choir resonate those words even better, where I stretched my vocal cords as a ternor not knowing that on this Christmas eve I would a fully fledged preacher. “....the Son is given....” MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU !!!
