“Twas the week before Christmas and the host’s on a tear With the fear that the houseguests soon would be there Short on pillows and flatware, towels and more And, of course, short on money. Yo, to the ReStore! They bought plates, mugs, and glasses to make their table bright And nice sheets and blankets for the cold winter night. There were fry-pans and lamps and a new set of chairs And for the children some soft teddy bears They found paintings and light bulbs and a fun DVD And toys, lights, and baubles for their tall Christmas tree They left with bags brimming with fun stuff and art Happy with their treasures - but the very best part? That besides saving money as they brightened their house They they’d helped out the Mission of Habitat Taos.
