~ Twyla Darlene Pearson ,August 8,1934 - July 21,2001 ...My Mother ♥ My Mom crossed over and went home to be with her Mom & Daddy on this day in 2001,Mom had been battling cancer for awhile,was in a morphine induced coma but every GREAT once in awhile and was at St, Johns or Josephs hospital and had to be transferred to Meadowood Assisted care facility also in Stockton,she would have a lucid moment,on this particular Saturday we were all in Stockton,Ca. to be and sit with Mom where we read spoke,played music for her brushed her hair(what was left),my brother and I were about to head home,but decided to stay late so the family could all go to her home and shower,nap,eat,etc.,inoticed my Moms breathing had started to labor a bit,saw her finger tips start to blue,sent my brother to get the nurse...Mom had a DNR so Dale (Brother) nurse and I stood with her, her breathing got shallow and more shallow and she had crossed,the nurse looked at me and whispered Im sorry,i looked at my watch it was 4:04 p.m. Dale cried and I consoled him while the FANTASTIC people of Meadowood primped Mom,Mom had donated her body to Standford University Cancer Research,so Meadowood called Stanford,we called the family who all came back,we all said our private goodbyes,prayers, we prayed,Standford showed up within about 90 minutes,and Mom was placed on a gurney,make-up on,hair brushed,and she was wheeled thru Meadowood to a back exit (I accompanied her to the door) where she was placed in proper travel wear and nobody was the wiser as we walked thru she had passed,my one regret was I stopped at the back exit,i didnt want to see her loaded into the refrigerated van,its odd how things happen,both my Brother and I had said we hoped we werent there when she crossed over,and in the end we WERE the ones there with Mom,lucky for us kids my sister had cut clippings of Moms hair,its all we have of Mom,when Mom donated her body the family doesnt get any ashes or anything R.I.P. Mom.....see you someday,hope you dont mind if I take my time! Love You, Scott Dewayne ♥
