U Text, U Drive, U Pay On September 3rd we announced that we were stepping up enforcement of texting and/ or using cell phones while driving but drivers are not getting the message. On Monday, September 15th at two different locations officers issued 34 tickets for using Cell Phones, 16 for Failure to Wear a Seatbelt in addition to several other miscellaneous charges such as failure to stop for a red light.
