**UPDATE** 12/2/14 Bentley has diabetes and Cushings. Lets just say his numbers were off the charts, numbers his vet has never seen before in his entire career. Good news is, he is on medication for both, along with treating the bacteria infection. Doing everything we can for this little guy, whose spirit is unbreakable. This treatment is extremely expensive. Bentley was found in an abandoned home. We have no idea how long he was there, but hes in pretty bad shape. Doc thinks hes about six years old. This baby has alot of healing to do, as well as we are still waiting for his blood work to find out why his stomach is distended. The vet had to shave him completely because he has a bacterial infection all over from tail to ears. What we thought was a gash in his forehead, is the bacterial infection that left untreated, has eaten down to his skull. For now, hes on antibiotics and a bath once a day so his skin should start healing soon. He will need an array of sweaters until his hair grows back! The most amazing thing about this boy is how happy and trusting he is and has let the vet and techs do anything they needed with no resistance at all. Its like he KNOWS they were helping him and it just felt so good to have someone care! He is going to be beautiful when his hair grows back, but nothing will be as beautiful as his precious soul.
