[UPDATE] Last February, police intentionally rammed an innocent man off the road and riddled his truck with bullets. They slammed him so hard his wheel fell off. The cops claimed they thought the truck might have contained a fugitive, even though the driver was the wrong race, the truck was the wrong model, and the police had absolutely no confirmation whatsoever of who they were attempting to murder. The D.A. has just declared the attack a reasonable mistake and refused to pursue charges against the assailants. “The idea that you can say that if you are anxious and afraid, you can shoot at any given pick-up truck — bodes very ominously for society at large,” Sheahen said. “Because that means a million people were subject to being shot by these officers that morning.”
