***UPDATE*** We have a few PHSGA residents that would like to stop and say hello to all of you out there! We are sure that everyone remembers the case in Akron on November 16th where our 2 Humane Officers along with many other local Law Enforcement Officers rescued multiple dogs and arrested 48 individuals, 47 of them for felony dogfighting. Then only a few short days later we alerted you that on November 19th, our Humane Officers discovered more dogs in a vacant garage living in deplorable conditions. Many had wounds consistent with dogfighting and sadly, there were also 2 deceased dogs found. WELL...a few of those survivors would like to say HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you and your families and show off how well they are recovering from the horrific abuse they endured. Here are Cinderella, Grasshopper and Beetle in their before and after photos (be sure to read the descriptions on each photo). As you can see, they are doing wonderfully! These dogs are absolutely amazing and continue to inspire us daily with their vibrant spirit and strength. Many of the dogs are not legally ours at this time and still being held as evidence but we will keep you all informed as things progress. For now, they are thriving here in our care and we could not be happier that they are all spending their very first holiday season safe, warm and extremely loved.
