Unity March showcases strength of European civilisation & society. This cannot be seen as Islam vs the rest of the world. For 13 centuries Islam has contributed enormously to the human civilisation. Islam has been a bridge between Asia & Europe. Radical & jihadist Islam in modern era is a creation of Wahabism. Prof Irfan Habib traced the roots of jihadi terror to Wahabism.The House of Saud embraced the obscure Wahabism & Saudi Arabias petro dollars made export of radical Islam to the world possible. The roots of Islamic terror lie not in Islam itself, but in minuscule Wahabism followed by 25% of Saudi Arabia & patronised by monarchy.That Saudi now opposes ISIS or Al Quida only masks the roots of radical terror. 1.6 billion Muslims must not pay for the follies of a few. Peace-loving Muslims world over & frightened people of other faiths should not suffer for the sins of a few. Massive effort is needed to inform people of all faiths of the roots of terror. This is a fight against madness; not clash of civilisations. It will take time, vigilance, strength & global cooperation to counter terrorism. But it can only be rooted out by exposing its roots.
