-Update- So we are fortunate enough to have 40hrs a week of in home nursing and hospice nurses that come in every other day to check on Karson and update us on his condition from a clinical point of view. Lately Karson has needed more morphine and ativan which are used to keep him comfortable and help regulate any irregular respiratory issues he may be having. His respiratory continues to decline which we are aware thats going to happen. For a child his age a healthy respiratory rate is between 24-40. Today when hospice checked, his was at 8. His extremities are cold due to his body concentrating most of his blood around his torso or closer to his heart rather. We appreciate all the prayers, thoughts and positive energy from everyone. Whatever it is you do I ask for you to focus on peace for him. Unfortunately longevity is not for this sweet boy so what better to ask for than peace, comfort and ease. Much love from Team Karsons home base
