***Update First I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and a Happy New Year. We spent Xmas at home opening presents with Robbys family then in the afternoon we went to my mothers house and had Xmas with my side of the family. I got to see my aunt and uncle that I dont get to see very often. Last night we spent the night first watching a movie then playing video games... The boys say Im turning into a gamer... Ya right! OK news on me. On Monday I saw my oncologist, she had said that depending on what the pathology report says she was thinking about putting me on an oral chemo. She said I shouldnt loose my hair and it should be fairly tolerable, but again we need to get the path report back first. I saw my new doctor, Dr. Nissen who is the director of liver services. He is wonderful and scheduled me for surgery on Monday. He said he heard I like to get things done quickly and I said yep... Lets do this. Plan is to go in laparoscopically, take some samples and another procedure called a chip, which take samples from the tumor and the surrounding tissue and test it for approximately 50 different types of genes to see if theres another avenue we can use for chemo. After they take the samples they will be doing an ablation (burning the tumor and surrounding area). He said he felt this was my best option because statistics show whether you remove a section of your liver or do an ablation the end result is basically the same. Plus its a faster recovery, I dont have to be completely cut open and I can get to chemo after a two week recovery. OK then I saw Dr. Rimmel my GYN surgeon for a follow up... TMI but I still have some spotting and shouldnt by now. Well its what I had thought I popped a stitch, so I will have to f/u in a month if it persists. My surgery on the 7th has officially been postponed to who knows when because I can to reconstruction if I still have cancer in my body. Well I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know I did this last year, but I will be doing it again. My New Years resolution is to kick cancers butt so hard that I can make a 2016 resolution that doesnt involve cancer. Here are a few pictures of Xmas.
