!!! ☀ ... Upside Down Apple Pie ... ☀ !!! Put around two heaped tablespoons butt in a hot pan with two tablespoons brown sugar [white sugar will do but the flavor will not be as good] Melt till bubbling and then add in three apples sliced thin evenly . Sprinkle over half a teaspoon of both cinnamon and crushed cloves. Take off the heat. Cover the top of the apples with a sheet of store bought puff pastry [the flaky one] and tuck the pastry down the sides a little but dont be too perfect. Put pan into the oven till golden brown. Take out and let stand till cool and then with a knife go around the sides of the pastry to make sure it is not stuck. Put a plate on top and flip it over to get the pie on the plate. This is the French way to make apple pie and I serve it with cream or ice cream.
