#VEDAS #SAYS: This universe is Unreal, not because it doest exist, but because it is ever changing, unstable, impermanent and subject to destruction and decay. READ #BHAGAVAD #GITA to know what is ultimate reality. सर्वं ह्येतद् ब्रह्मायमात्मा ब्रह्म सोयमात्मा चतुष्पात् sarvam hyetad brahmāyamātmā brahma soyamātmā chatushpāt –#Mandukya_Upanishad, verse-2 Ive seen this before but is well worth reminding ourselves of the #illusion in which we all [irrespective of our Faith] have to pass through Advaita explains all personal forms of God including Vishnu and Shiva with a metaphor: The personal God is impersonal reality reflected upon the mirror of ignorance and illusion. In Visishtadvaita and Dvaita, God is Saguna Brahman with infinite attributes and is the source of the impersonal Nirguna Brahman, and Gods energy is also concealed within Maya. Nirguna means formless, attribute-less and indescribable. Only two kinds of people can attain knowledge of the Self: those who are not encumbered at all with learning, that is to say, whose minds are not over-crowded with thoughts borrowed from others; and those who, after studying all the scriptures and sciences, have come to realise that they know nothing. Ramakrishna Paramahamsa God or The Ultimate Truth is singular, but its names are plural. All the epithets mentioned in Holy Vedas are ascribed to one God, who is Creator of the cosmos. Shiva, Shankara, Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh, Ganesh, Indra, Mitra, Varuna, Agni, Yama etc. are the epithets of one Supreme Being, who is formless, featureless, birthless and bodiless. It is unborn, eternal, immortal and everlasting. It has no agents, no intermediaries, no representatives, no incarnations and no partners. It has neither father, nor mother. It has neither wife, nor sons, nor daughters. It has no attachment. But it is Benevolent parent of all its children, and imparts equal love impartially to all his creatures. It is kind to all, cruel to, none. Its first name is Om. But it is evoked and adored by several other names which are written in Vedas. The question is - how can such #Ultimate #Reality be represented by allegorical illustrations? Sanatana Dharmas inclusivity, elasticity & diversity permits each seeker to chose the method or visual form for spiritual focus.
