***Vacation Time!!! Whats your plan?*** Via: The Progressive NITian Most of you are already enjoying your Semester break and for the poor ones who are still struck with their end semester examinations will get to do so shortly! So whats your time table? Any plan that you may wish to execute? If you wish to spend these winters wrapped up in your quilts and eating unbelievably tasty delicacies by your mother, it doesnt look like that a good idea to me. I mean, its certainly not what a person of your caliber should end up doing! So here I am with a catalog of all the productive things you should do this winter! 1. If you are a code freak, try learning languages that are not in your curriculum and spend more time on codechef! If you already are proficient enough in your field, start learning about some booming fields of IT industry like cryptography or try to get some industrial exposure! 2. For the ones with weak communication skills, take it as an opportunity to improve! Communication is one thing you can not run away from, so utilise this time for the best! 3. There are times when we develop interest in something in the middle of the semester but do not find enough time go deeper owing to our procrastinating habit. For all the budding scientists and researchers, THIS is the opportunity for you to read and research without any barriers! Who knows if your findings during these days earn you your first patent ( or even a Nobel!). So get your fingers on the keyboard and get going!! 4. For those who are passionate about a particular skill like writing, singing or painting etc should use this time up to follow your dream forgetting everything, sans any concern or worries! You currently have all the time you need to write the first chapter of your novel, composing the chorus of your first song or sketch out a fresh masterpiece!! 5. The ones with an inbuilt affinity towards machines and robots must stay back in their colleges and work with their Robocon/SAE/HPVC or other indigenous fabrication teams to reap practical knowledge about your subject! 6. For the ones who do not fit into any of the five categories, (yea right, most of you) may visit web learning sites like Coursera, Udacity and edx etc. and learn what interests you! Its high time you should start building your portfolio! Lastly, do not forget to enjoy yourselves to the fullest! Go for hangouts with friends and visit new places! Work on your looks you shabby pig! Aise koi bhav nii dene waali... :p Anything would do other than dosing into the goddamn bed for hours doing nothing! A progressive vacation to everyone! :D
