(Video) [9/23/2014] DHS Bulletin: Syria Airstrikes May Ramp Up ‘Lone Wolf’ Terror Attacks in U.S. Homeland Security has issued a new bulletin to law enforcement, warning that last night’s airstrikes could ramp up the threat of “lone wolf” terror attacks at home. The Associated Press obtained a five-page joint intelligence bulletin which discusses the potential for a retaliatory strike in the United States. Last night, the U.S. targeted both ISIS and an al Qaeda terror group called the Khorasan group. Its leader is one of the few who knew about 9/11 before it happened. While there is no evidence of a credible plot, the bulletin said that lone wolf attacks and other small scale operations are hard to pick up, so it urges law enforcement to be vigilant in the coming days. Former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy was on “The Kelly File” to discuss the latest. He said that there is competition between the two terror groups over who can attack the U.S. the fastest and the worst because they believe it will get them a lot of support among young Muslims that they want to recruit. “We have to be extraordinarily concerned,” McCarthy said of the terror groups, explaining that we have “appallingly little intelligence” in the areas where the terrorists are operating.
