#WA Flood Warning for the Ord River Catchment Issued at 10:19 am WST on Monday 19 January 2015 Western Australia Flood Warning Centre Based on recorded and forecast rainfall, significant stream rises with areas of flooding are expected to develop in the Ord River catchment during Monday and into Tuesday. Rainfall recorded for the 24 hours to 9am Monday in the Ord river catchment include 190mm at Warmun, 85mm at Halls Creek Airport, 82mm at Bedford Downs Airstrip, 56mm at Elgee Cliffs and 54mm at Argyle Airport. For the 24 hours to 9am Tuesday, widespread rainfall of 10mm to 20mm with isolated falls of 30mm are forecast for the Ord river catchment. A tropical low may move offshore from the west Kimberley coast later today. Once over open water, the tropical low may develop into a tropical cyclone this evening or overnight.
