((( WAITING ON THE LORD ))) BY: DEBORAH MELISSA MOLLER I sensed I needed to write about “HOW DO I WAIT ON THE LORD”, since I do get many emails by people asking me “How long do I need to wait to hear God”, “I am still struggling with listening to the voice of God – do I lack patience?”, “What must I be thinking while waiting”, “I don’t see anything”, “I don’t hear anything”? The Lord then asked me to write to you, my own experience how I wait on Him. SEEK HIM AND YOU WILL FIND HIM I will “try and seek” the Lord in my garden hoping that the Lord will see me and reveal Himself to me. I kept seeking Him, looking for Him in the clouds many days and ask Him to reveal more of Himself to me. Then, as His Word says, that He will bless a diligent seeker, He would surprise me with some awesome thing, and every time something different, for He is creative. Surprising me with a rainbow or He will say ONE sentence to me, for I would ask ONE word from Him, because ONE word of God can change your life! HE WANTS RELATIONSHIP This might sound strange to some people, but many times I will sit with the Lord in my garden, and I will drink coffee with the Lord. Off course I will drink the coffee, and the Lord and I will fellowship. I will tell Him something, or ask Him many questions and hope it is time for Him in His wisdom to answer me and some times I will murmur about something. In these times I found that the Lord always looks at my heart, and He will answer be accordingly. He will answer unexpectedly. BE FAITHFUL IN THE LITTLE The Lord gives me many dreams. He teaches me to write it all down in my journals. Because I write down His dreams, He knows I took His “techno-color” speaking seriously, so many of His dreams come true. Because I take His speaking in dreams seriously, He gives me more precious pearls, for I was faithful in the little. PURIFY YOUR HEART AND MIND In my journey I do allow the Lord to clean my heart and circumcise my heart and I ask Him to renew my mind almost daily. You need to ask daily for the Lord to wash you clean and to forgive your sins. You need to ask the Lord to heal, deliver and restore you in the unique person He had in mind when He planned creation. And you need to ALLOW the Lord to clean your heart and mind. When your mind gets cleaned and renewed, your spirit grows. For He needs a purified vessel. He wants you to be holy for He is Holy. DYING TO SELF AND YOUR FLESH Sometime during my walk with the Lord, He was silent for about 18 months. Not answering any of my prayers, but when I pray for someone else the Lord will answer that person. I nearly died! Today I know I was just in a time where the Lord wanted me to die to self, to die to the flesh, to die to the soul area. I still do get these “silent times” from the Lord, but I do now understand that in these times He let your roots grow deeper if you allow Him. In this testing phase, you need to write the test and your teacher can not help you to write the test. These are the difficult phases, but much needed in our character development to be molded into the image of Christ. These are the “valleys” times and there are many of them. Just persevere! OBEDIENCE & NEVER COMPROMISE! The Lord tested my obedience many times. I quickly learned to obey the Lord at any cost and to never compromise – not ever! Just before the Lord started to clearly speak to me with the first book, I was in a last obedience test – and this test was to be obedient to the Lord as He asks it. Thus I was not allowed to “ask questions why, what etc”; I should just do as He asks. The final obedience test is to do the will of the Father as He asks without hesitation! Only if you are obedient to the small tasks He asks you to do - He can use you. You need to desire to do His perfect will – always! WHEN HE SPEAKS – IT WILL BE TO BLESS OTHERS Before the books started, the Lord would only reveal something here and there and then go quiet for weeks or months. Since the first book, when He speaks I hear Him clearly. Even now, He speaks 80% only for the Bride. So, what I learned was that when He speaks, He wants to speak to the Bride or His Body – to bless them and not just for my benefit. The Lord wants to position us so that when He does speak through us, it will be mostly to help His Body and to bless them. YOU WILL BE TESTED I find my own walk with the Lord extremely difficult – much like the prophet Jeremiah. The Lord really shuts me in and some days it feels like He built a prison around me ... and no matter what, I cannot run away. I needed to learn, even if the fig tree doesnt blossom, I shall still love and serve the Lord. Also remember that the greater the calling, the more difficult the testing. Are you prepared to walk this road with the Lord? HOW I WAIT ON THE LORD IS TO SEEK THE HEART OF THE FATHER When I wait on the Lord, I lie down on my knees before Him, calling first on His name (to get His attention), then I will ask Him to clean me with His blood and I ask for forgiveness of my sins. Then I focus on the Father and ask the Father to draw me into His heart. I only wait on the Lord because I love Him, not because I want to hear something. If I only wait on Him, seeing the Father on His throne (try to focus on the Father), then the Lord usually starts to speak – 80% of the time it is for the Body although Ive got many questions. In between these He will speak to me about my needs. Waiting on the Lord is to be still before the Lord, not praying, just love Him and focus on Him. Just surrender before the Lord! Ive learned to only SEEK THE HEART OF THE FATHER - then all else will be added unto you. When I come before the Father because I want questions to be answered, then He does not speak to me. Only when I come before Him because I love Him, He speaks to me. WAIT ON HIM – SEEK HIM, BECAUSE YOU LOVE HIM Wait on the Lord because you love Him. Ask the heart of the Father ... and He will reveal Himself to you. Ask Him to fill you with His Father love. Like Solomon only asking for wisdom and then received all else, ask for the heart of the Father. Jesus only points us to the Father. Keep you focus on Him and get into the HEART of the FATHER. Are you prepared to walk this road with the Lord?: •Seek HIM and you will find HIM •HE wants RELATIONSHIP •Be FAITHFUL in the LITTLE •PURIFY your HEART and MIND •DYING to self and your flesh •OBEDIENCE & never compromise! •If HE speaks – it will be to BLESS OTHERS •You will be TESTED •WAIT on HIM – SEEK HIM, because you LOVE HIM This comes at a high price, but the reward is eternal!
